I am pleased to announce the first public release of Rakhama software - the Filename Randomizer! This may sound pretty useless at first, but I'm sure there are plenty of uses for it. This was built to randomize a list of MP3s on a CD before taking it into my car. I could use the CD player's random functionality, but it's a bit rubbish, and generally not as random as I'd like.
The application includes several customizable features, including the choice to copy or rename and prefix/suffix the filename. File extensions are preserved.
This is an early build of the software, and may still contain bugs, but I'm generally satisfied it works well. Once I get this website sorted out, I'll document it and put up the source code as well.

Bah! I've only gone and done it again. New style to go with what the SwishMax site is going to look like.
A lot of thinking and behind the scenes work going on at the moment. I want to add a Tutorials section soon, to chronicle the sort of things I'll forget how to do later. Expect to see tutorials on SwishMax, PHP, AJAX, Paint Shop Pro and Blender. Plenty to keep me busy at the moment, including the development of an XML database interface that works with both PHP and SwishMax at the same time, and general rethinking and improving of old PHP code. The result should be something special! Check back sometime soon and I might even have more adventures to show you :)

Work has begun on Rakhama v3! Or at least, a new Flash front-end. Considering keeping this HTML front-end for lower-spec machines to use as well, but the plans I have are MIGHTY.

Well, another style change. Gone from graphic heavy to a very clean, simple style, and I'm in love with it. Maybe I'll get working on making the actual site now! :D

Someday I will settle on a style I like. I'd appreciate feedback if you don't mind telling me what you think. There's a "Contact" button at the bottom of this page.

So that's Rakhama v2 moved from test to live. Not much to see aside from the Adventures, so why not check them out?
